I'M SO INSPIRED

I’m so very very and absolutely glad to be writing to you again in the #3 Edition of SEE Publications (forgive my tautological use of English, it’s not my fault, I’m just very excited).

Well, seriously I have missed gisting you since the previous edition’s gist (GOD made Woman, His only mistake?) and quickly I want to say ‘Thank You’ for your calls, texts, comments of appreciation and criticism on the article. I’m seriously encouraged. If you haven’t read it, please quickly check out for it in the previous post as soon as possible, read and please don't forget to drop your comments.

Now, quickly to the gist of this edition.
Last year, 2012 was a great year for me (and I’m sure it was for you too).
I learnt great lessons, I applied them, I took risks, I had successes, I had disappointments, I climbed mountains, I walked in the dark valleys, I experienced love, I walked the streets on loneliness, I laughed and I cried and through all these experiences, one thing that I realize is that I’ve grown. I might not be where I wanna be yet but I’ve left where I used to be.

I had ideas and I worked on them. Some of them didn’t quite work out the way I planned them, but some others did. But then I started thinking, whether or not all the ideas I have had worked out as planned or not, I’m just so inspired to have had them in the first place.

Inspiration for every great idea that lights up your mind is worth being grateful for.

INSPIRATION is that big word you always have to consider if you are interested in doing something outstanding, something beyond ordinary, something monumental and special in a world of billions of talented and creative minds like yours.

What stands you out, in a world where each man runs a race against himself, a world of so much competition and inventions of all sorts, is the inspiration the illuminates your mind, that kind of  inspiration that drives you to want to move and do something new and different.

That is the kind of inspiration that I have that makes me want to learn and do something new and different and makes me want to grow everyday. Do you have it? You sure do. You’re so inspired than you ever noticed.

Inspirations and ideas catch up with you wherever and whenever. The source of Infinite Intelligence drops inspiration unto every man but it takes readiness of your mind to acknowledge receipt of an inspiration or idea, and to run with it.

Do you ever wonder why sometimes you need to do something, perhaps write a plan, do a business, answer a question, do something creative and then the idea just doesn’t seem to come to you so much that you don't even know what to do or where to start, and at other times the ideas just seem to flow around you like butterflies around a flower?

Inspiration is exactly what it sounds like. It is inspired. It is beyond a realm that physical sight can get to. Robert Schuller explains that when an idea or an inspiration is received, there has been a direct connection between the unseen and the seen.

Are you inspired? Well, I do know I’m so inspired.
You want to know why?
I know I’m inspired because I am created by the God who inspires all good ideas. I know I’m inspired because I am creative. I know I am inspired because I stand up to problems and sought to solve them. I know I’m inspired because I can do better than I am doing now. I’m so inspired.

No matter what you go through, bask in the atmosphere of inspiration. Enjoy the beauty of creation, understand the power of divinity to inspire your mind and rule your world.

You are so inspired. So use your inspiration to break grounds, set records, grow and be only the best .

GOD MADE WOMAN! His only mistake?

Wow! I just can’t imagine that look on your face. Are you asking, ‘Is this guy mad?’ Oh you say, ‘He must be really crazy for writing an article like this. Well, let me shock you a little, I am not mad and I am not crazy (in case you have thought so...lol). And mind you, Women, I must confess, are one of the best things that have ever happened to the human race. Okay, let me give them a little appraisal (I know they like it...)

Oh Woman!
One of a kind
Brought forth from the rib of man
I can’t seem to get you off my mind.
Your voice, so unique
Unlike my baritone so boring
You are special
Your beauty like sunrise in the morning
So great is your heart
Gentle and tender
I dare not try to hurt...

Should I stop? Oh!
I’m sure she said NO!

...Oh Woman!
Thy rosy cheek, I infer
Maybe slender, who knows?
I just like you, just the way you are!

Ah! Enough of my Shakespearean tale (haven’t I tried? You better clap for me...lol). But seriously, women are really wonderful. You could just clap for yourself if you are one.

Now, I’ll get to the point. I was coming from my sister’s place one day when I walked past a lady. She was wearing a beautiful white t-shirt and a fitting black skirt but, as I almost walked past her, I noticed that something was written on her white shirt. I like to read anything readable so I read what was on her shirt. It read,
GOD MADE WOMAN
HIS ONLY MISTAKE
I stopped, I paused, I took a breath. Oh My God! Why would someone want to wear that kind of shirt? It was even a girl wearing it. I was amazed. If at all I had thought I’d find someone wearing that shirt, I would have expected to see it on those guys who biff the ladies (Ladies, isn’t that right? Guys, no biffs, trust me...lol)

So I went home but believe me, what I had seen on that young lady’s fine t-shirt remained on my mind. I thought about it and I had to answer questions, I had to lecture myself and I’ll gist you about the lecture, trust me.

Lecture One: GOD does not make mistakes!
Yes, HE doesn’t. According to God’s book to man, the Holy Scriptures which is the BIBLE, God made woman out of man and He did that so the man would not be alone. Gen 2:18.
Here, we could conclude that, GOD in His unending wisdom gave man a big gift. The fact that the woman fell for the tricks of God’s enemy, Satan didn’t mean it was God’s mistake. If we begin to recount the great things the world has seen because of the presence of woman in it, we’ll conclude that the woman is a perfect gift and not a mistake afterall.

Lecture Two: The Woman is Caring, Compassionate, Loving, Kind and Beautiful. She is an achiever!
(Hmmm... I’m sure heads are swelling already). I think it’s worth it if their heads swell. The woman is the one with that sonorous voice that sings the worship I so do not like to miss in church. Funny isn’t it?
The woman is the one who carries that baby (I once was) in her womb for nine months and deliver amidst pain and tears. She is the one that baby wakes up to see, when Daddy is out to work and the one who sings the lullaby at bedtime. She is the one who is strong and free, the one who loves, who is kind and warm-hearted. She is the one with such an indomitable spirit. She is the scholar. She is the mother. She is the helper. She is the achiever. She is the symbol of virtue and excellence. She is everything but a mistake.

Well, that was all the lectures I gave myself (clap for me joor...lol). Anyway, woman, I’m glad God gave you to the world and I love Him for that, amongst other great things He did and still does and I am sure every other man or guy feels the same way about you even though we sometimes do not want to admit it. Now, I would urge you to uphold your virtue. Raise the flag of excellence and be the best you can be. You are not a mistake. And guess what, I love you just the way you are but God loves you so much more, so be your best for HIS glory...WOMAN OF VIRTUE!

GET RID OF COBWEBS...LIGHT UP YOUR MIND

Imagine that there is a machine that performs the following multi-function: It can wash, sew clothes, iron clothes, bake, grind, print, in short this machine can do all sorts of things you can ever think of. Now let us imagine that this machine has been abandoned in a room for a very long time and one day, someone plans to revisit the machine and put it to use again. You can imagine that the person would first have to fight a war with cobwebs, removing them from every corner of the machine before it can be put to work again.

Let us take this machine to be your mind. There are a whole lot of things that your mind can do and achieve if it is put to work. But it is unfortunate that many minds are locked up in a room for too long and now cobwebs flying around have been a faithful companion to them. What cobwebs have you clouded your mind with? Is it laziness, procrastination, music with vile words, the nude musical videos that now flood the entertainment world? These cobwebs will only limit your mind-machine’s efficiency in carrying out the great works it is capable of. Identify the cobwebs you have allowed in your mind, get rid of them and ignite your mind for the great works it is capable of doing.

AIMING HIGH

You only have to look up into the sky to see an airplane, and perhaps you have traveled by airplane to places that would have taken much longer by any other means of transportation. I can tell what a wonderful experience it is to soar at such heights where birds fly.
For years, man threaded the earth, travelled to places, discovered, and built new things, breaking grounds and setting new records. However, every of these developments came as a result of tiredness of the status quo and a desire to achieve something new, something different, and something unique.

The Bird Inspiration

Spending a great deal of time in studying the lifestyle of birds, how they soared to great heights and descended in grand style triggered a desire in the hearts of two young brothers. They noticed that birds soared into the wind and that the air flowing over the curved surface of their wings created lift. Birds change the shape of their wings to turn and maneuver and the desire to fly in the sky was ignited in the brothers. As frightening as it sounded, they decided to aim high.
However, before the first airplane was invented by the Wright Brothers, inventors made numerous attempts to make like the birds and fly. These early inventions included kites, hot air balloons, airships, gliders, and other devices.

Their background

Orville and Wilbur Wright were born to Bishop Milton Wright and Susan Catherine (Koerner) Wright. Their father was a Bishop in The Church of the United Brethren in Christ. At ages 7 and 11, their father brought them a toy “helicopter." It was based on an invention by French aeronautical pioneer Alphonse Penaud. Made of cork, bamboo, and paper, with a rubber band to twirl its twin blades, it was a little bigger than an adult's hand. They later said this sparked their interest in flight.
Both brothers attended high school, but did not receive diplomas. Orville dropped out of high school after his junior year to start a printing business. Later on, the safety bicycle was invented and the bothers opened a repair and sales shop (the Wright Cycle Exchange, later the Wright Cycle Company) and began manufacturing their own brand.
Orville wrote of his childhood: "We were lucky enough to grow up in an environment where there was always much encouragement to children to pursue intellectual interests; to investigate whatever aroused curiosity.”

The man-made bird

Wilbur and his brother Orville would design a series of gliders which would be flown in both unmanned (as kites) and piloted flights. They read books and worked hard. They gained the mechanical skills essential for their success by working for years in their shop with printing presses, bicycles, motors, and other machinery. Their work with bicycles in particular influenced their belief that an unstable vehicle like a flying machine could be controlled and balanced with practice. They recognized that control of the flying aircraft would be the most crucial and hardest riddle to solve. They used the fund generated in their bicycle endeavor to fund their growing interest in flight.
The vision of a vehicle that could fly like a bird was first conceived by Wilbur who later told his brother of his new vision and he was amazed at how wonderful the idea was so both of them decided it was time to aim high into the sky.
Orville and Wilbur launched into years of extensive researching; they had their exciting moments, and times when it seems like they would fail, and times when they failed. After years of hardwork, they were able to build a bird that could carry man up into the air and take him to his desired destination in shorter time than any other means of transportation.
The Wright brothers decided, upon being tired of the low grounds, to aim high and this day, man can now fly up in the air and even get to his destination faster that it had been before they aimed for the skies.

Have you been on the ground for too long? It is time to aim high. When basketballers want to score a goal, they aim the basket, jump and then throw the ball. They miss the net at times but they get better when they keep trying. They discover new ways to throw the ball and score a point. When you aim high, you can only begin to go high. Paul Harvey said, “You can always tell when you are on the road to success; it is uphill all the way.” The road to success is up and that is why you need to aim high.

Perhaps you think your current situation or the background you are from is a limitation. You can rise beyond any limitation. Someone said, “The good thing about mountains (obstacles and limitations) is that they cannot grow bigger but you can!”
Get ready, think BIG, grow STRONG in spirit, in intellect and in knowledge, the knowledge of God and His Word, break grounds, deal with limitations, go the extra mile, set new records. Reach for the skies and you'll be surprised at how much you can achieve, only if you AIM HIGH!

I’ll see you at the top because  I’m already headed there! **Wink**
